Cessna 162 Skycatcher



Our new 2012 C-162 Skycatcher is the premier Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) used in our Sport Pilot Rating.  This 2-seat light sport is actually wider than our 4-seat C-172 and only weighs 1,320 lbs at max gross weight.  The avionics package includes the Garmin 300 all digital glass panel.  

In addition to being used for our Sport Pilot program, it can also be rented by all qualified pilots as a low-cost alternative to flying our 4-seat aircraft.  

C-162 cost: 
        Enrolled students:   (included in package up to 20 flight hours)
        Normal rental:        ($125/hr)


Cessna 172 SP



Our C-172SP is our primary training aircraft used for tours and the Private Pilot syllabus.  This aircraft has all-leather interior and boast fuel-injected 180 HP engine.  4 seats on the inside and a full-size baggage compartment means that the C-172 makes a great get-away aircraft as well as the most popular trainer in the world.

C-172SP cost:  
        Enrolled students:    (included in package up to 40 flight hours)
        Normal rental:         ($155/hr)

Piper Arrow IV


The Piper Arrow is used for the Instrument Rating, Complex and High-Power Endorsements.  It is also our most popular cross-country rental aircraft. 

Arrow IV cost:
        Normal rental:         ($172/hr)

Instructor Fees

Atlantic Aviation has flight instructors that are available 7 days a week. We pride ourselves with being able to offer one on one training at to meet all your scheduling needs.  All flight instruction rates are included in our package deals. 

If you want to pay as you go, no problem!
 Students that are not enrolled in our package programs will pay $45/hour (our aircraft) for flight instructor services both on the ground & in the air. 

Do you own your own plane and want to learn to fly in it?  We can help!
Students who are not enrolled in our program or wish to use their personal aircraft will pay $55/per hour for instructor services both on the ground & in the air.

Our Staff

Donnell J. Vigil - CEO & Director

Mrs. Vigil is Atlantic Aviation's Chief Executive Officer and Director. Mrs. Vigil graduated from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology and attended graduate school at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas in its Organization Development masters program. Mrs. Vigil has worked in the aviation field for over 6 years and in the corporate arena for nearly 18 years.  

She has successfully guided and lead all Atlantic's endeavors and looks forward to a bright future and growth of our operations.  "Our goal is to provide not only flight training but a flight experience. Fred Bingaman - IA/A&P


Mr. Bingaman is our resident Inspection Authorization Mechanic.  He is available at the flight school 7 days a week. Mr. Bingaman retired from Boeing and has been in the Aviation Industry for over 36 years. He has been an IA/A&P for over 11 years, and has been with Atlantic Aviation for over a year.  He has a wealth of knowledge about maintenance and keeps us flying safely!

John Nayfack - CFI, CFII, MEI


John is Atlantic Aviation's Chief Flight Instructor.  With over 35 years of experience, and as a former U.S. Navy Instructor Pilot, John now flies students in all of our offered programs.  As a Certified Flight Instructor, he specializes in the Sport, Private, Commercial and Instrument training. 

Sage Foster - CFI


Mr. Foster is an Atlantic Aviation Flight Instructor.  He flies students in all of our offered programs.  As a Certified Flight Instructor, he specializes in the Sport, Private, Commercial and Instrument training.  

Jeremiah Kelner  - Commercial Pilot


Jeremiah is Atlantic Aviation's Commerical Pilot.  He was a former U.S. Army Helicopter Pilot and is pursuing his CFI to being training with Atlantic.  Jeremiah performs daily administrative duties as well as web development and marketing.

Desire Foster - Office Manager & Dispatcher


Desire is an Atlantic Aviation Office Manager and weekend Dispatcher.  Be it answering a phone, scheduling a flight, or other administrative duties, Desires' can do attitude and work ethic are vital to our Atlantic Aviation team.
